Portable Remote Control Curcuit Breaker System for Mine Trolleylines

This report describes the various stages of the development of a portable remote control of circuit breakers system. The report presents the (1) details and problems involved with the movement of off-track mining equipment in an underground coal mine. (2) A preliminary field test program. (3) Details of the fabrication and field testing of the preliminary prototype remote control system. (4) The fabrication of the final prototype system. (5) System features that include the ability to trip, reset, and adjust remote circuit breakers from a transmitter located on a mine locomotive.
