National Symposium on Cryogenics (4th) Held at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on December 17-19, 1979

Cryogenics is an important field with applications in several industrial sectors like fertilizer factories, steel making, metal working industries, petrochemical complexes and preservation of food. In order to provide an opportunity for the members of cryogenics community to come together for a thorough exchange of information and ideas. Indian Cryogenics Council initiated the National Symposia and Seminars on Cryogenics. This volume contains invited lectures and technical papers. The main subjects covered are: Applications; Heat Exchangers and Regenerators; Cryobiology, Biophysics and Cryomedicine; Cryophysics; and Instrumentation, Measurements and Properties of Materials.
