Steam Propulsion Control System Study. Phase II: Throttle Control System Requirements and Analysis. Volume III: Throttle Control Specification

摘要

This report documents the Phase II effort, sponsored by MARAD, to develop an Advanced Throttle Control System (ATCS) Specification suitable for new ship construction projects. The methodology employed to develop the specification began by developing a complete generic steam propulsion control simulation (i.e., boiler, throttle, turbine, ship/propeller and the baseline candidate controller) on an interactive computer facility. This baseline simulation was validated via a review by industry specialists.
