Information Needs of the Textile and Allied Industries in India

A questionnaire was sent out to Indian textile manufacturers inquiring about their information needs. More than 100 responded. This book is a compilation of the results of that survey. The conclusions were that a need was felt among all the respondents for almost every information service that the questionnaire posited, including the need to establish a National Information center for textile research. The center would collect and translate worldwide information about textiles and provide an awareness service through periodic publications as well as standard library services.
