Volunteers for Services to Older Persons. Volume 3. V.S.O.P. Client Assessment Systems

The VSOP program developed and tested a service delivery system in which nonprofessionals (volunteers and paraprofessionals) provided comprehensive and individualized case management services to vulnerable older persons living in the community. The client assessment systems, Comprehensive Assessment System for Seniors (COMPASS) was developed to help in case management work. COMPASS records and processes information in the following areas: housing; stamina and activities of daily living; informal supports; social interactions; emotional health; physical health; community activities; and finances. The following materials are included: COMPASS User's Guide; Case Management COMPASS; and assessment and referral COMPASS.
