PLALGO: A FORTRAN Implementation of a Piecewise-Linear Homotopy Algorithm for Solving Systems of Nonlinear Equations

The code PLALGO, a FORTRAN implementation of a certain piecewise-linear homotropy algorithm, is described. Discussions detail how such algorithms can be used, different ways of using PLALGO, and various user parameters that are available. The report shows that PLALGO can be used to find zeroes of continuous functions or upper semi-continuous mappings under suitable conditions. An example illustrating the input and output of PLALGO is given.
