Living Conditions and State of Health of the Members of Polar Expeditions

摘要

Results of medical research carried out in the Arctic and Antarctic by Soviet and foreighn workers are reported. Extensive use is made of findings during 10 years of observation of member of the Severnyi Polius drift station crew and of Soviet Antarctic Expedition personnel. A number of problems relevant to the central Arctic Basin and Antarctica, to polar living conditions and to health care delivery to expedition members are addressed.
