Rapid Test for Salmonella Detection in Seafood Products

摘要

The report presents results of a two-year research project to develop a rapid test for salmonella detection in seafood products. A test based on nucleic acid hybridization was developed that could specifically screen for all salmonella pathogens within a 24-hour period. This screening test proved capable of handling multiple samples with a minimum work effort and was also inexpensive. Additional research was performed on the development and evaluation of immunoassays for salmonella.
