In recent years the Utah Department of Water Resources has been conducting a series of weather modification field projects in the Tushar Mountains near Beaver, Utah. The purpose of these projects is to investigate the dynamic and microphysical characteristics of clouds for further planning and evaluation of weather modification activities. An important part of the 1985 field project, which distinguished it from earlier projects was inclusion of a suite of remote sensing instruments. The paper presents the calculated vapor fluxes for the March 2-3 storm and the February 8-9 storm, from the 1985 Beaver field season.
