The generator has a reforming system (40) supplying gaseous flux to an anode (21) of a fuel cell (20), where the flux is purified by an anodic supply pipe. A condensing system (80) recovers water from exhaust gas by phase separation. A water vapor transfer system (70) transfers water from one gaseous flux to another gaseous flux of the system (40), where the latter flux has vapor pressure lower than the former flux. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle including an electrochemical generator.
