China Bound: A Guide to Academic Life and Work in the PRC (People's Republic of China)

摘要

The handbook for researchers, students and teachers in the People's Republic of China provides information on trip preparation, campus life, university and research institute settings, and working and living conditions. It also gives details on teaching requirements, access to archives, laboratories and field sites, and services in China. Based on the experiences of Americans in the field, the aim of the handbook is to assist researchers, students and teachers to work more effectively in the People's Republic of China. A series of Appendix includes copies of China's regulations on applying for grants, research or teaching positions, a sample contract for teachers and application for foreign students, approximate costs of living in China, and locations of U.S. educational reference collections in China.
