New Large Ice Model Basin at Helsinki University of Technology

摘要

The paper presents the new ice model testing facility of Helsinki University of Technology. The facility consists of an ice model basin of 40m x 40m x 2.8m, X-Y-carriage, and necessary equipment and rooms for machinery, fitting out of models, etc. Technical details of carriage, refrigeration machinery and control system are given. Special features and research scope are outlined.
