Analytic Techniques for Processing Signal and Noise Through a Nonlinear Channel Using MODSIM. Volume 3: Curve Fitting Software Description

The curve fitting software implementation of the analytic techniques developed for processing signal plus noise in a nonlinear channel is described. The method which provides an economic alternative to the Monte Carlo methods used in simulation programs such as MODSIM is described. The program fits either a polynomial or a series of Bessel functions to a set of data defining the complex voltage transfer characteristics of a device. FORTRAN 4 language was used in an ICL 4/70 computer.
