Observability of Autonomous Discrete Time Nonlinear Systems: A Geometric Approach

In this paper observability of autonomous discrete time systems is studied from a purely differential geometric point of view. Similarly af for continuous time systems this approach leads to a local canonical form for an observable system. A proposal for the generalization of an invariant subspace is made.
