摘要

The deformations at reactor component surfaces were studied by holographic interferograms in order to determine the stress intensities in the interior of the components. The deformation fields at the side surfaces of tensile test specimens with varying internal cracks were calculated by the finite element method. From the known surface deformations the stresses in the interior were calculated with good accuracy as long as the error of the deformation measurement remains less than 5%. A method to deduce the length of the crack by iteration of the measured surface deformations was developed. An automated recording and evaluation system for interference patterns using image processing according to the phase-shifted reference wave method provides an accuracy better than 5%.
