Expert Systems: The Application of New Computer Methods to Corrosion Problems

摘要

Current developments in information technology, data-base management and knowledge engineering give the possibility of pulling together corrosion expertise and data from many sources into a so-called Expert System for corrosion studies. A general explanation of expert system is presented and how such a system for corrosion prediction and evaluation might be put together is discussed.
