摘要

A linearization effect in atmospheric auroral and nightglow emissions was studied with a spectrophotometer in auroral emissions, where linear graphs were obtained on different auroral occasions. Results show the importance of the inelastic scattering cross section between electrons-atoms and electrons-molecules. It is possible to determine the mean energy of the interacting thermal electrons which are active in the different auroral phases.
