A DEVICE FOR DETERMINATION OF PRESSURE IN SEALED CONTAINERS

A device was developed which permits determination of the effective gas pressure inside a closed con¬tainer such as a sealed capsule. In this device, the container is punctured and the gas is allowed to flow into a closed system containing calibrated volumes and pressure gauges. The original pressure in the con¬tainer being evaluated is determined by means of calculations based on the pressure-volume data obtained from the measuring device.
