Vapour Test NBC-Clothing Materials: Construction of the Apparatus and Validation of the Method (Damptest NBC-Kledingmaterialen: Constructie Opstelling en Validatie Methode)

In this report the new vapour test apparatus for determining the protective performance of NBC-clothing material against vapour chemical warfare agents, is described. In this apparatus the tests can be done under controlled temperature and relative humidity. The breakthrough concentration of the chemical warfare agent can be followed continuously using gas chromatograph in combination with a flame ionisation detector. The reproducibility of the breakthrough measurements were determined using an intern control material. Moreover some characteristics of the detector system were determined from the calibration results.
