摘要

The Boundary Residual Method, BRM, is used to compare the performance of a range of sub-domain expansion functions in three different situations. It is found that as the complexity of the structure/system being studied increases the importance of the order of the expansion function decreases - at least for uniform segmentation. These results point out the need for more research into the behavior and performance of these, and other, expansion functions.
