Using Bayesian Networks and Decision Theory to Model Physical Security

摘要

Home automation technologies allow a person to monitor and control various activities within a home or office setting. Cameras, sensors and other components used along with the simple rules in the home automation software provide an environment where the lights, security and other appliances can be monitored and controlled. These home automation technologies, however, lack the power to reason under uncertain conditions and thus the system can sometimes perform in ways the user didn't intend. The objective of this report is to apply Bayesian Networks and Decision Theory to this problem and thus, improve the accuracy.
