This Environmental Assessment (EA) has been prepared by MaraTech Engineering Services, Inc. (MaraTech) to evaluate potential impacts associated with the proposed construction of a 0.25-mile running track oval north of the Army Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES) Gas Station, Hanscom Air Force Base (HAFB), Bedford, Massachusetts. The Site location map is included in Appendix A. The proposed running track will be utilized to augment the existing physical fitness training facilities at the Base. As required, public notices documenting the availability of this Environmental Assessment will be posted in local newspapers. Notices will be posted in the Boston Globe, and the local Bedford, Lexington, Lincoln and Concord newspapers. Copies of the notices will be included in Appendix C of the Final EA Report.
