Spiral System Implementation Methodology: Application of the Knowledge Web in the Security-Center Transformation Project

摘要

This paper reports progress and practical experience in security- requirements engineering using the security center Knowledge Web (KWeb) as a case study. It describes the project, architecture, and the approach of the Spiral System Implementation Methodology (SSIM). This engineering approach is an example of rapid prototyping in which the requirements of the users in the security center are reviewed periodically and frequently with considerable user input. This method, which captures and implement changes in user requirements, strongly supports the development of a relevant and useful system with up-to- date technology that will be responsive to the users' rapidly changing needs.
