The second part of “Climatological Normals” contains data on frequency distribution of surface winds in respect of direction and force, and weighted means of their forces at 21 various stations throughout Palestine, including stations west of the Jordan beyond the area of the State of Israel. Upper winds at Lod Airport are also given.nIt may be assumed that 8 years of observations, on which the values are based, are a sufficiently long period for a valid presentation of wind data in the climatic conditions of Palestine (the list of years of observations at each station is given subsequently).nThe data are specified for each month of the year but are limited to each of the three times of observations 08, 14, 20 (local standard time =GMT+2). We hope to add, in a future edition, data of surface winds for each hour at stations which were equipped with autographic wind instruments.
