The Logic and Behaviour of Self Organising Systems as Illustrated by the Interaction Between Men and Adaptive Machines

摘要

In this paper the author discusses the interaction between a human being and an adaptive machine. It is argued that a stable, coupled system is necessarily a self organising system. Practical and theoretical considerations are reviewed in terms of those adaptive machines used in a specific application; namely, the automatic instruction of skills. A simple laboratory system is described in detail. Finally, he considers the behaviour of larger and more realistic systems. (Author)
