Monolithic High Strength Aluminum Bottom Carriage Structure for 155mm Howitzer, XM198.

摘要

This final report summarizes the contractor's effort to conduct engineering studies and to produce a high strength aluminum bottom carriage for the XM198 155mm howitzer. Engineering calculations, technical data, and photographs of the finished casting, the mold, and the pouring operation are presented. Technical progress reports are also incorporated to give a chronological synopsis of the work accomplished.
