摘要

A new class of Li(+)-ion solid electrolytes has been discovered by applying the crystallographic principles underlying fast alkali-ion transport. One of these materials, LISICON, is the best Li(+)-ion conductor so far reported for the 300-400 C range. The same principles should be useful in guiding the search for still better superionic conductors.
