PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a sintered compact and a crystallized glass which are composed of a mica crystal as a main crystalline phase containing lithium, sodium, or calcium as an interlayer ion, show an ionic conductivity, and do not collapse in air and in water, a transparent silicate glass having a high ionic conductivity at a room temperature, and a crystallized glass having not only an ionic conductivity and a water resistance uncollapsible in air and in water but also a machinability and a transparency.;SOLUTION: In manufacturing a sintered compact and a crystallized glass which are composed of a mica crystal as a main crystalline phase containing lithium, sodium, or calcium as an interlayer ion, the range of chemical composition where they are obtained is selected and the thermal processing condition is controlled. Besides, a silicate glass containing fluorine having the same composition as those sintered compact and crystallized glass is manufactured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
