摘要

Results of applying Disturbance Accommodating Control (DAC) theory to a precision pointing system are presented. Reductions in stabilized mirror spot jitter of up to 10:1 were achieved in side-by-side testing with the same system utilizing conventional servo design. From the lessons learned during hardware development and test, practical design guidelines are developed for achieving even better performance in future application of DAC design techniques. It is concluded that the technology has now been developed and demonstrated to where it is a viable candidate for design of operational precision pointing/tracking stabilization control systems.
