摘要

Tensile fatigue tests have been performed to assess the effect of changes in mean load on the fatigue behaviour of plus or minus 45 degrees orientations of carbon fibre reinforced plastics. The results have been plotted as a master diagram from which it is clear that it is the value of mean and cyclic stresses and not simply the value of the peak stresses which determines fatigue life.
