摘要

The objective of this research program was to identify prophylactic creams which, when applied to the skin, provide protection against chemical agents. The active ingredients studied were macromolecular solvolysis catalysts, the structures of which are analogous to low molecular weight catalysts for the solvolysis of G-type nerve agents. It was intended that the macro-molecular catalysts (a) provide high reactivity by incorporating pseudoenzymatic properties and (b) eliminate potential toxicity by blocking transdermal adsorption.
