At a relief well and drainage system rehabilitation workshop held in April 1985,it was determined that maintenance methods varied between Districts and that no attempt had been made to document results versus the method used. The Huntington District was planning the rehabilitation of 12 wells at Leesville Dam, Ohio, and agreed to use a composite of the various common Corps of Engineer (CE) cleaning methods along with the extra verification procedures needed to document the results.
