With over 300bhp available at the flick of a switch, Tony Hill's RS2000 shows it's possible to build a very fast Escort without paying the premium for the Cosworth badge. Unless you've somehow managed to miss the last 55 pages (and if you have, we have to question your understanding of how a magazine works), you'll probably be very much aware that this issue is a special issue, marking the 20th anniversary of the Escort Cosworth. The Cossie is a legend, of course - but it isn't the only Escort RS from the '90s, and indeed, it isn't the only way to build a seriously rapid Escort. Meet Tony Hill's Escort RS2000. And let us just say this right here, right now: if you have prejudices against the RS2000, they end here. We simply don't think it's possible to look at a car like Tony's, and ever again say that the RS2000 is a waste of time to modify, or that it isn't worthy of the RS badge.
