Structure of a new compound synthesized by microwave heating: (H_3N(CH_2)_6NH_3)) centre dot AlF_5

A new hybrid material was synthesized by themicrowave route from a mixture of Al_2O_3/HF/1,6diaminohexane/EtOH. The structure of the hybridfluoroaluminate, determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction,reveals a (H_3N(CH_2)_6NH_3)) centre dot AlF_5formulation and a monoclinic symmetry with the space groupP2_1, with a=7.898(1)?, b=5.514(1)?, c=12.672(3)?,#beta#=103.69(2)deg, V=536.2(2)?~3 and Z=2. The unit cellcontains infinite inorganic chains of (AlF_6) corner-sharingoctahedra, linked each other by hexanediammonium cations.
