FiA gets off to encouraging start

FiE (Food Ingredients Europe) first opened its doors to the food trade in 1987 with only 20 exhibitors. 20 years on, in 2007, the number of companies supporting the event numbered 7 700. Best of all, FiE has earned a formidable reputation for its ability to draw companies and visitors of international stature to its doors. If the success of this world-respected trade show is anything to go by, FiA (Food Ingredients Africa) - held on home soil for the very first time last month - looks equally set tobecome a well-entrenched platform for the local food industry to showcase new ingredients in the years to come.
