Wartsila Acquires Global Ship Design Group,Vik-Sandvik

Wartsila (Helsinki,Finland) has acquired the global ship design group Vik-Sandvik (Fitjar,Norway).The value of the acquisition is euro132 million,with an additional maximum sum of euro38 million to be paid based on the performance of the business over the next three years.In 2007,Vik-Sandvik's turnover was euro55 million.There are 410 employees.
