Cliffs idling second Iron Rangemine through first quarter

Cliffs Natural Resources is idlingiron ore pellet production at its NorthshoreMining operation in Minnesota by December 1,the company said in a statement Tuesday. Theannounced idling comes almost four monthsafter the US miner idled another of its iron oremines on the Minnesota Iron Range, the UnitedTaconite operations. The Northshore andUnited Taconite mines are expected to be idledat least through the first quarter of 2016.
