Heat coming out of China's property markets

China's efforts to take the heat out of the country's property sector are taking effect with home sales and floor space sold both retreating, recent data shows. The policy moves could exacerbate what is a seasonally slower period in China's construction markets, but may not adversely dent rebar prices which appear to have decoupled from demand fundamentals.
