Kardemir swings to profit despite lower output

Turkey's major integrated long steelmaker Kardemir recorded net saleable steel production of 988,703 metric tons for the first half of 2016, down around 5% from the 1.04 million mt produced in the same period of last year, the company said in a stock exchange filing Monday.
