A Convenient and Effective Method for the Synthesis of Tetraoxaquaterenes

摘要

There is a great interest in the synthesis of new types of ionophores; among others calixarenes and cyclodextrins are well know. Recent papers dealing with the synthesis of tetraoxaquaterenes show that this may be a very interesting scaffold in supramolecular chemistry.
