Influence of farm yard manure application on various wheat cultivars.

To evaluate the effects of improved wheat cultivars and farmyard manure (FYM) on the yield and yield components of wheat, a field experiment was conducted in Peshawar, Pakistan, during the 2004-05 winter season. Wheat cultivar Saleem-2000 produced higher grains per spike and grain yield while maximum spike/m2 were produced by the wheat cultivar Bakkar-2001. Application of FYM enhanced the number of grains per spike, spikes/m2 and grain yield compared to the control.
