In a 2005 job satisfaction survey conducted by the Society for Human Resource Management,91 percent of employees rated "feeling safe in the work environment" as an "important" or "very important" aspect of job satisfaction.This factor was among the top five,outranking such components of job satisfaction as: relationship with immediate supervisor,management recognition of employee performance,the work itself,opportunities to use skills/abilities and others.
