In terms of ROI, Production Asset Optimization ranks second behind only Predictive Maintenance among Digital Oilfield technology use cases, with 54 per cent rating its potential as strong or the strongest compared to just 20 per cent rating it weak or the weakest. In a low oil and gas price environment, positive ROI can provide a strong impetus to implementation where companies are looking to strengthen the balance sheet rather than increase production at all cost.
