Mechel is planning to raise at least 10 billion rubles with bond issues this year to finance the construction of a rail track to the Elga coal field in Yakutia, Igor Zyu2in, the coal and steel group's general director, said during Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's visit to Mirny, Yakutia. "We plan to raise at least 10 billion rubles with [two] bond offerings this year and to put the remaining 30 billion rubles back until next year," Zyuzin said.
