ETHICS OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Iread Afzal Ansary's article,Why Do You Want to Photograph Me? (December/January issue,vol 145,no 10,p465)with great interest,but mixed feelings,as it reminded me of a dilemma of my own.I recently visited Hamburg,Germany,staying in a city centre hotel.On leaving the hotel one afternoon,I noticed a man sitting crossed legged,begging for money.He didn't have any hands,and continually made a sort of howling sound to attract attention,which was rather eerie - as if he didn't have a tongue and couldn't speak.
