PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to easily photograph stereoscopic images by controlling photography of the stereoscopic images on the basis of a preview image before execution of photography processing.;SOLUTION: A stereoscopic image photography system 100 includes two portable telephones 10a and 10b connected by short-range radio communication. In each portable telephone 10, an edge image is prepared from a preview image and the prepared edge image is exchanged. At the time, in the portable telephone 10 operated as a master, an overlapping rate of the two edge images is calculated, and whether or not the overlapping rate is equal to or higher than a threshold is determined. Also, as a result of adjusting a position of the portable telephone 10 on the basis of the preview image by a user, when the overlapping rate becomes equal to or higher than the threshold, photography processing is executed by the respective portable telephones 10, and photographed images are exchanged similarly to the edge images.
