Marginal rise in NR latex consumption

Global NR latex consumption increased marginally in H1 2012 to 1.3 million tonnes on an annualised basis in June 2012, according to IRSG. The marginal increase was driven by a resurgent demand in the glove sector, due to lower raw material costs. Malaysia as the largest NR latex consumer and producer of gloves benefited the most from this, with a 6.7% rise in consumption in H1 2012.
