JAN/SEP 2014 FATTY ALCOHOL IMPORTS FALL 4.3%

Fatty alcohol imports in September 2014 were 14,313 tonnes, against 16,876 in the preceding month and 21,910 one year ago, trade data showed. September saw m/m increases of imports from Indonesia (5,602 tonnes vs. 4,105) and Thailand (1,183 vs. 686). These were, however, more than offset by weaker arrivals from South Africa (2,500 tonnes vs. 3,948) and Malaysia (3,589 vs. 6,568).
