AIRP best cases in radiologic-pathologic correlation: congenital mesoblastic nephroma.

A previously healthy 2-month-old girl was found to have a left upper quadrant mass during a routine examination at her primary care physician's office. The patient was afebrile with normal vital signs. Physical examination demonstrated a palpable, nontender mass within the left flank. At initial laboratory evaluation, the patient's cell lines and electrolyte profile were normal. The only abnormality was a mildly elevated lactate dehydrogenase level.
