European butane

Large cargo butane prices suffered a substantial price fall of around $30/t to reach $607.50/t cif ARA at the start of this month. Despite the crude-led fall in outright prices, market fundamentals were firm. Exports kept spot supply in northwest Europe tight. Butane levels relative to naphtha strengthened to around parity between the two grades.
